🖥️ SETTING UP YOUR LAYOUT
To get started, open one of our downloadable business card templates from the Templates page on mcgpaper.com. Choose the appropriate format for your software (MS Word or Publisher recommended).
If using other software:
- Set up a table with 2 columns and 5 rows
- Use these margin and spacing settings:

Alternatively, check if your software includes a template labeled Avery® 5371 or 8371 and use that as a base.
🎨 DESIGNING YOUR CARD
- Open the template in your chosen software
- Import your logo or graphics and scale to fit
- Type in your name, title, company, and contact info
- Customize with fonts, colors, or fun taglines
- Preview your design—make sure everything fits neatly within the printable area
For social or creative calling cards, include fun quotes, rhymes, or interests to make a memorable impression.
🖨️ PRINTING YOUR BUSINESS CARDS
- Print a test sheet on plain paper to confirm alignment
- Insert one sheet of pre-perforated cardstock into your printer
- Use your printer's highest resolution and “plain paper” setting
- Print one sheet at a time for best results
- Let ink dry completely before separating the cards
Once printed, gently tear along the perforated edges. The clean cut lines and standard 3.5" x 2" format give your cards a polished, professional feel.
